When you create an account on Get Sealed, we collect:

• Account Information: Email address, password, display name
• Profile Information: Photos, biographical details, religious preferences (temple recommend status, mission service, church activity level, BYU attendance, sealing status, Word of Wisdom adherence), relationship status, family preferences, and profile prompt answers
• Location Data: City, state, and approximate coordinates for distance-based matching. We never share your exact GPS coordinates with other users.
• Usage Data: Swipe actions, matches, messages, posts, likes, and comments
• Device Information: Browser type, IP address, and device identifiers

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your dating profile
• To match you with compatible Latter-day Saint singles based on location, preferences, and shared values
• To facilitate messaging between matched users
• To display your posts on The Fireside social feed
• To enforce community guidelines and prevent abuse
• To improve our matching algorithms and user experience

3. Information We Share

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

• With Other Users: Your profile information (name, photos, bio, LDS details, prompts) is visible to other authenticated users. Your email address, exact coordinates, and subscription plan are never shared.
• With Service Providers: We use Supabase (database/auth), Vercel (hosting), and Cloudinary (image processing) to operate the platform.
• As Required by Law: We may disclose information in response to legal process or government requests.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Row-level security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access authorized data
• Server-side authentication middleware
• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Protected admin-only fields (subscription plan, verification status)
• Rate limiting on messaging and swipe actions

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and update your personal information through your Profile page
• Delete your account and all associated data through Settings
• Block other users to prevent them from viewing your profile or contacting you
• Report users who violate community guidelines
• Request a copy of your data by contacting support@getsealed.app

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, photos, messages, and swipe history within 30 days. Some anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics.

7. Children's Privacy

Get Sealed is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

8. Religious Information

Get Sealed collects information about your religious beliefs and practices (temple recommend status, mission service, church activity) because this is core to our matching service for Latter-day Saint singles. This information is provided voluntarily and can be updated or removed at any time through your profile.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
